Eeyore 2022 UK 50p Brilliant Uncirculated Coin

First published by the writer A. A. Milne, the stories of Winnie the Pooh and his loveable Friends have captivated readers since its creation in 1926. A story set in the Hundred Acre Woods, the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and his companions including the likes of Eeyore, Piglet, and Owl have enchanted audiences for many years, and have become a household name in English Literature, particularly amongst younger readers. 
Known for his pessimistic and gloomy character, Eeyore plays a distinguished role in the story of Winnie the Pooh, occupying his own area of the Hundred Acre Woods, recognized as ‘Eeyore’s Gloomy Place’. Whilst known for his miserable nature, Eeyore is a character Winnie the Pooh can always rely on and is always helpful in times of adversity, supplying insightful solutions to the worst problems. 

In celebration of this iconic character, and the success of the Winnie the Pooh series, The Royal Mint this year has introduced this detailed 2022 UK Brilliant Uncirculated 50p Coin, depicting E.H. Shephard’s original illustration of the donkey in vivid full colour. 

The seventh release in the Winnie the Pooh Coin series, the reverse of this coin also features the prevalent buzzing bee which unites all releases in this series.
